If your tattoo was dressed with Sani-derm, Tattoo-derm or Second Skin. Please follow these instructions.
SANIDERM
-
Leave the derm sit on the skin for 24 hours. Note that it will fill with fluid(plasma, blood,pigment). This is naturally occurring and nothing to be worried about.

Call the shop to have your tattoo redressed.

After 48 remove the derm, you should have been given verbal instructions during your re-wrap.

After removing the derm be sure to wash off your tattoo thoroughly with warm water and a fragrance free liquid hand soap.

Gently pat the tattoo dry and allow it to air dry for 10-15 min.

Apply ointment to the tattoo in a thin layer,(DO NOT USE PETROLEUM BASED PRODUCTS!) too much can suffocate the pores and extend healing times. Please refer to the list of recommended ointments.

If flaking or scabbing occurs DO NOT pick at the tattoo. Though flaking and scabbing is a rare occurrence it can still happen. Picking at it or scratching it can cause damage to the area, and may cause a loss of pigment.

Avoid direct sunlight for 2-3 weeks. After which use a sunblock 35spf or higher to protect your tattoo.

Avoid swimming for 2-3 weeks. A tattoo is an abrasion on the skin. It's an open wound and susceptible to infection.
If your tattoo was dressed with Skin Lock. Please follow these instructions.
SKIN LOCK

Leave the Skin Lock sit on the skin for at least 3 hours. Note you can leave it on for a full 24 hours, but it will start to flake off during that time

To remove the, Skin Lock be sure to wash off your tattoo thoroughly with warm water and a fragrance free liquid hand soap.

CLEAR WRAP
